Priyanka Chopra has officially become the highest-paid actress in India, surpassing Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and others with her staggering ₹30 crore fee for her highly anticipated return to Indian cinema.
Despite not starring in a Bollywood film for six years, Priyanka is set to make a powerful comeback with SS Rajamouli’s upcoming project, tentatively titled SSMB29, alongside Mahesh Babu. The film also marks her return to South Indian cinema after more than two decades.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Priyanka’s record-breaking paycheck was a major factor in finalizing the deal. “This is why they took so long to announce her participation in the project. She was not willing to budge over her fee, and why should she? Why should only the men actors get double-digit salaries in our films?” a source revealed.
While ₹30 crore is the highest fee ever paid to an Indian actress, Priyanka has earned even more in Hollywood. Reports suggest she was paid $5 million (over ₹41 crore) for her role in Amazon Prime Video’s Citadel.
With her latest signing, Priyanka has dethroned Deepika Padukone, who previously held the title of highest-paid actress after earning ₹20 crore for Kalki 2898 AD, according to Hindustan Times. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt reportedly charges up to ₹15 crore per film, while other leading actresses like Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu earn around ₹10 crore or more per project.
According to News18, Priyanka’s total net worth stands at approximately ₹650 crore, making her one of the wealthiest actresses in the industry.
She was last seen in the 2019 film The Sky Is Pink and is also part of the much-anticipated Jee Le Zaraa alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. However, there have been no recent updates on the film’s production.
