Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna‘s film Chhaava continues to set new records at the box office. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the historical action drama has amassed Rs 326.75 crore net in India and Rs 444.50 crore worldwide within its first ten days.

Now, Chhaava has surpassed other major blockbusters like Stree 2, Gadar 2, Animal, Pathaan, Dangal, and Sanju to become the first Bollywood film to earn over Rs 100 crore net in its second weekend. The Vicky Kaushal starrer collected Rs 109.23 crore during this period. Among Hindi-dubbed South Indian films, Pushpa 2 remains on top, with its Hindi version raking in Rs 128 crore in the second weekend.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the ranking of the highest-grossing films in the second weekend on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “WEEKEND 2 RESULTS: ‘PUSHPA 2’ – ‘CHHAAVA’ TOP THE LIST… Pushpa 2 Hindi and Chhaava are the only two films to surpass Rs 100 cr in their second weekend (Friday-Sunday).”

Second Weekend Earnings of Other Blockbusters

When it comes to other major releases, Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2, Anil Sharma and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, and Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan earned Rs 93.85 crore, Rs 90.47 crore, Rs 87.56 crore, and Rs 82.46 crore, respectively, in their second weekend.

Historical Characters in Chhaava

The film stars Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna plays Maharani Yesubai, his wife. Akshaye Khanna portrays Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The cast also includes Divya Dutta, Ashutosh Rana, Vineet Kumar Singh, Diana Penty, and Neil Bhoopalam in key historical roles.
