Qualcomm has introduced the Snapdragon X platform in India, an AI-powered tier aimed at making Copilot+ PCs more affordable. The company asserts that the platform delivers 45 TOPS (trillions of operations per second) of AI performance, ensuring greater efficiency, extended battery life, and cost-effectiveness.
The first Snapdragon X-powered devices in India, the Asus Vivobook 16 and Zenbook A14, are now available for pre-order starting at ₹65,990. According to Qualcomm, this platform offers up to 163% faster performance at ISO power compared to competitors while using significantly less energy.
“As AI becomes essential in daily life, we see a great opportunity to transform the PC industry,” said Kedar Kondap, SVP & GM, Compute and Gaming, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. “Snapdragon X will make AI-powered computing more affordable and accessible for all.”
Expanding Retail and Software Partnerships
To strengthen its retail presence, Qualcomm is launching an offline Experience Zone at Croma in Mumbai and collaborating with Flipkart Minutes to enable 10-minute deliveries of Snapdragon X laptops.
The company is also partnering with Indian software vendors to enhance AI capabilities, incorporating features such as Tech Mahindra’s Indic LLM (IndusQ) for regional language support and Kroop AI’s deepfake detection technology.
“With Snapdragon X, we are not just continuing our legacy of innovation but also making AI technology more accessible,” said Savi Soin, SVP & President, Qualcomm India.
