Congress leader Jose Nelledam, a member of the Mullankolli Grama Panchayat in Wayanad, was discovered dead in a pond near his residence on Friday. Kerala police reports suggest he allegedly cut his wrist after consuming poison before jumping into the water. He was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead.
