This musical fantasy film, directed by Marc Webb, is a live-action reimagining of Walt Disney Productions’ 1937 animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which is based on the 1812 fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. In this adaptation, Rachel Zegler stars as Snow White, a princess deemed by the Magic Mirror as the “fairest of them all,” who is determined to liberate her kingdom from her stepmother’s tyranny. Gal Gadot plays the role of the Evil Queen, Snow White’s stepmother, who is obsessed with being the fairest. The film also introduces Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, a new character created as Snow White’s love interest.
