Riteish Deshmukh turns politician in ‘Raid 2’- first look revealed
The makers of Raid 2 have unveiled the first look of Riteish Deshmukh, introducing him in a never-seen-before political avatar. The film, starring Ajay Devgn, is the much-awaited sequel to the 2018 hit Raid.
Sharing his first look on social media, Deshmukh wrote, “Kanoon ka mohtaj nahi, kanoon ka malik hai Dada Bhai! #Raid2 knocking in cinemas near you from 1st May.”
In the poster, Deshmukh exudes power and authority, standing amid a crowd with his hand raised in a gesture of leadership. Dressed in a kurta and jacket, he looks every bit the intense and formidable politician.
Ajay Devgn returns as Amay Patnaik
Just a day before, the first look of Ajay Devgn as IRS officer Amay Patnaik was also revealed. The poster featured Devgn in a gritty setting, preparing for another high-stakes raid. Sharing the glimpse, Devgn wrote, “Naya Shehar. Nayi File. Aur Amay Patnaik Ki Ek Nayi Raid. #Raid2 knocking at your doors in cinemas near you on 1st May, 2025.”
What to expect from ‘Raid 2’
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 continues the gripping journey of IRS officer Amay Patnaik as he takes on another major white-collar crime case. Like its predecessor, the film draws inspiration from real-life income tax raids, highlighting the relentless efforts of the Income Tax Department and intelligence agencies to uncover financial fraud and corruption.
Apart from Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, the film also stars Vaani Kapoor in a key role.
Production and release details
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, Raid 2 is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in collaboration with Panorama Studios. The film is set for a theatrical release on May 1, 2025.
Teaser to drop soon
Fans won’t have to wait long for a deeper look at Raid 2. Reports suggest that the film’s teaser will be unveiled alongside Salman Khan’s upcoming movie Sikandar, which hits theaters on March 30.
