The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a ₹58 crore cash reward for Team India after their triumphant ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. Led by Rohit Sharma, the team remained unbeaten, securing the title with a dominant win over New Zealand in the final.
According to the BCCI, the prize money will be distributed among players, coaching staff, support personnel, and the men’s selection committee. However, the exact allocation has not been disclosed.

“Under Rohit Sharma’s astute leadership, India showcased dominance, registering convincing victories against Bangladesh, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Australia en route to the final,” the BCCI stated in an official release.
BCCI President Roger Binny hailed the team’s achievement, emphasizing India’s growing stature in global cricket.
“Winning consecutive ICC titles is a testament to the team’s dedication and excellence. This is our second major triumph in 2025, following the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup win, reflecting India’s strong cricketing ecosystem,” said Binny.

BCCI’s Financial Might
BCCI remains the world’s wealthiest cricket board, with its revenue skyrocketing to ₹6,558.8 crore in FY 2022-23—up from ₹4,360.57 crore the previous year. Key revenue sources include:
- Media Rights – ₹2,524.8 crore
- Indian Premier League (IPL) Surplus – ₹2,444.53 crore
- Men’s International Cricket Tours – ₹642.78 crore
- Women’s Premier League (WPL) Surplus – ₹377.49 crore
Despite these record earnings, BCCI’s expenses also surged, with total expenditure (including debts) reaching ₹2,831.56 crore. The board has allocated ₹500 crore as a contingency provision and ₹1,600 crore for income tax payments.
