KOLKATA: Former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly’s convoy was involved in an accident in West Bengal’s Purba Bardhaman district, though no one sustained any injuries, police reported on Friday.

The incident occurred on Thursday near Dantanpur on the Durgapur Expressway while Ganguly was traveling by car. A speeding lorry attempted to overtake, prompting his driver to brake abruptly. This sudden stop caused a collision among the vehicles in his convoy, according to a West Bengal Police officer.

“In the sudden movement of the lorry, the driver of Ganguly’s car had to apply a sudden brake which led to a collision with vehicles in his convoy following him,” a police officer of West Bengal Police said.
