A viral video of an Indian Railways staff member casually tossing garbage from a moving train has sparked widespread outrage on social media. The clip, shared by X user @moronhumour, captures the staff member emptying a trash can near the train’s toilet and dumping its contents directly onto the tracks.
The footage, seemingly recorded by passengers, shows one of them confronting the worker, saying, “Look this uncle is dumping the garbage on the tracks.” Another voice questions, “Why are you doing this, brother?” while the staffer continues discarding waste.
Another passenger can be heard criticizing the railway’s condition, saying, “Look at the condition of the Indian Railways and they promise a better India!” The staff member, however, defends his actions with a smirk, responding, “The trash was full. Where should we dump it during the nighttime?”
The X user who posted the video called for strict action, stating, “Indian Railways must find this officer and suspend him at once. As a punishment, he must be posted at station and made to clean the platforms and pick up trash from the tracks. Railways is better off with one such unthankful and dirty employee less. He’s the real trash.”
