Legal Blow to Kejriwal

A Delhi court has ordered the police to file an FIR against former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others over the alleged unauthorized use of hoardings in Dwarka. The directive was issued by Rouse Avenue Court, escalating the legal troubles for Kejriwal’s camp.

Meanwhile, hospitals across Delhi have reported a significant surge in cases of Influenza B and H1N1 (swine flu) infections. Experts noted that patients of all age groups are experiencing “high-grade fever, persistent cough, and fatigue lasting for weeks.”

Adding to the city’s woes, Delhi has once again been named the world’s most polluted capital, according to the World Air Quality Report 2024 by Swiss air quality firm IQAir. The report revealed that India ranks as the fifth most polluted country globally, with 13 of the 20 most polluted cities in the world located in the country. Byrnihat, Assam, topped the list.

On the weather front, Delhi woke up to clear skies on Tuesday, with a minimum temperature of 15.7°C, slightly above normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The city is expected to see strong surface winds throughout the day, with the temperature likely to peak at 34°C. However, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) dipped to the ‘poor’ category, standing at 283 at 9 AM, as per Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data.
